Pillow Wish List
Wood Grains

I have been swooning over wood grains for quite some time now, and as they have become pretty popular now, its easy to get my fix. They can scream elegance, funk, modern minimalism or contemporary boho. Anyway you play them, wood grains are a great way to play up a room. I've had to limit my own buys to the under $25 category (including the plates and platter from Target and an amazing wood wall panel like the one in Liz Lemons office) but I've added a wide variety here if only for inspiration.

Wood Block Print from Etsy artist AtomicLodge- $15 (also see room above)

White Wood Grain Shower Curtain from Huntington Shower Curtain

Ridiculously Expensive Magazine Rack from Room and Board- $159

Wood Grain Mug from Etsy artist Soule- $8

Wood Grain Rugs from West Elm- $109-749

Wood Grain Pendant from Crate and Barrel- $64.95

This week

I'll probably be posting the things I'm interested in weekly, cause its always a changing state of affairs. So here's the first of many...
Antique Maps and Old Globes
Rilo Kiley's "With Arms Outstretched" and "I Never"
Evan Williams Egg Nog (surprisingly good)
Polyvore.com
Wood Grains and Snakeskin
Things I'm disliking this week...
That my phone doesn't get any reception
That my dad bleaches all the towels in my parents' home
Holiday weight gain
Having to work during break
Ok, fine...
I finally made the jump, I started a blog. I'm always a little behind everyone else with this stuff. I put it off for as long as possible, but here I am, designing a small space in my tiny corner of the universe of the internet to speak my piece and etch out a space for whatever moves me. And thats exactly what this blog is about: whatever the hell I want. Fashion, design, music, books, movies, wishlists, etc.
So for a little background info...
I'm 20 years old.
I go to a large top tier public university in the midwest.
I enjoy interior design, folk music, teaching sexual health, the occasional (underage) drink, shoes and hats, dressing to the nines, cooking (and eating), road trips, and art theaters.
So take a meander through my waking life.
